Why the world needs Nick Fuentes

Lara Logan has unlocked one of the great mysteries of the Left vs Right debate for me. And it is particularly salient after the Nick Fuentes and Piers Morgan ‘debate’ blew up online. (Dec 25)

Lara argues that many of today’s biggest “crises” share the exact same pattern on purpose: The Leftists: take something natural or unavoidable → label it a fatal flaw → declare it impossible to ever fully fix → demand endless control to “manage” it.

Examples:

  • Breathing out CO2 (essential for plants & all life) → framed as planetary poison

  • Natural human tendency to feel most comfortable around shared culture and values (Every ‘Chinatown’, every ‘Little Italy’) → branded as bigotry

  • Normal masculine or feminine instincts → called “toxic”

  • Even consciousness itself → “unconscious bias” you can never fully escape

And you can add Covid-19 and many more similar tropes to this list.

One person (and he represents a generational shift) that rejects these manufactured labels is Nick Fuentes.

Fuentes is labelled as a Racist, Hitler Apologist, Misogynist and Anti-Semite. On the surface, this seems to hold true because, after all, he said as much.

Whilst he explicitly says that he is (for instance) a ‘racist’, some context beyond the soundbite may help elucidate a few things.

He is very smart. He is generationally attuned (skilled) to scoring clicks and likes through controversy, because he knows that will get both fans and haters to share his message. And since ‘reach’ equals influence, power and money - that is his game. He also knows that most people don’t listen properly, so the sound bite is what gets him traction.

But, to be fair, he also explains what he means if you care to listen.

Racism has become a dog whistle because the left has weaponised it to such an extent that it has lost all meaning. True racism is of course abhorrent. Inspired by the Christian ethos, Western civilisations have embraced ‘equal before God’ as the central philosophy. Slavery went and not long after, active racism started fading. (Of course there still IS some racism - human beings are flawed after all, but it was not systemic like it used to be.)

In all spheres people value similarity. You may or may not know but those online ‘reviews’ you rely on to make a purchase is an example of social proof; which in simple terms represents ‘evidence’ of what other people who also like this product think - and that is used as a heuristic to buy or not.

People who believe the same things go to the same church that’s ‘churchism’.

People who like the same food go to the same restaurant - ‘foodism’.

People who share the same family values, aspirations and ideas send their kids to the same school - ‘educationalism’.

People often choose to love someone by their similarities - ‘loveism’.

Sometimes, at the level of community/ tribe, skin colour seems to be an obvious factor. It is rarely the ‘reason’ or cause for choosing a community, but rather is symptomatic or indicative of a group of people who share similar beliefs, desires, values, ideas.

The ‘Hood’ exists because black people (and like-minded others) congregate there. The country of Israel exists for the same reason. The Jewish Enclave of Rose Bay in Sydney (and similarly in most major cities) exists because Jews like to live amongst Jews. It makes going to Shul and shopping Kosher easier. Lakemba is a Muslim enclave with schools, mosques and food to match.

If you don’t want to live in Rose Bay OR Lakemba, does that make you racist? I would not want to live in either suburb. I would not even want to live in Beverley Hills (Hollywood) nor amongst the Amish  because I don’t have anything in common with any of those groups and I’d feel uncomfortable all the time - it has nothing to do with skin colour.

Sure, sometimes skin colour is used as a heuristic to make instant decisions. But this too is evolutionary wired into us as an energy-saving survival mechanism that helps avoid conflicts. Whatever that decision, it is NOT because they are black (or white or brown) but because their whiteness or blackness is taken instinctively as a shortcut for beliefs, behaviours and values. Just like you can spot a group of hippies or Rednecks by their physical traits, the same applies to all groups.

No one minds when Bankstown becomes Lebanese. No one minds when Minnesota becomes Somalian.

Until White people aren’t allowed the same freedom.

Until ‘diversity’ is only required where there is a White majority.

No one seems to ask why this is so when White people are a global minority.

Only White people are asked to check their privilege and give up what they created.

Only White people are castigated for following the same instincts every other tribe in the history of the world follows.

So when Nick Fuentes is saying he is racist, what he is really doing is trying to challenge the false taboos. He is normalising ‘racism’, not because racism is acceptable, but because the current label of racism is ridiculous.

People who have never owned slaves are threatened with ‘reparations’ to people who have never been slaves.

The Youth listens to this and thinks – WTF!

Did you really think that a future generation wasn’t going to get tired of this?

They inherited a shitty climate, a shittier economy and a climate disaster. They can’t get a decent job, are saddled with astronomical student debt for a degree that is worth bugger all; and they definitely cannot afford a house - and then you also expect them to carry the burden of our historical baggage?

As Lara Logan observed, the Leftists weaponized the very natural human tendency to feel most comfortable around shared culture and values and branded it as bigotry and racism.

At some point this attack vector was going to be exposed for the dog whistle it actually is.

All that Nick Fuentes is doing is confronting that ‘labelling’ with a direct response: if THAT is what you want to call Racist, then yes, I am a racist!

If you listen to his arguments beyond the ‘shocking’ admission of racism, you will learn that (a) he verifiably has black friends, (b) still prefers to live amongst people like him, (3) and does not want to deny, diminish or punish any black person in any way.

The black people he wants to remove from society are the gang bangers and criminals and violent offenders. The irony is lost on the Leftists. Whilst criminality is disproportionately black, victims of crime too are disproportionately black - so black people would benefit most from Fuentes' call to jail them! It just so happens that Thomas Sowell (who is black if you didn’t know) agrees with him.

"Leniency toward criminals is cruelty toward innocent people." - Thomas Sowell.

The same strategy is applied to ‘anti-semtism’. The atrocities of the Holocaust happened generations ago - very few of the perpetrators or victims are even alive, and for most of us it happened on another continent. But we don’t get reminded about the horrors of The Crusades or Mongol Invasions. We are never lectured about Pol Pot or Stalin, yet we are not allowed to ‘forget the atrocities of Hitler’.

If the younger generations are saying ‘we don’t care about Hitler’, they mean ‘stop laying your guilt on me’. And because Jews (and lefties generally) don’t take the hint, Fuentes and the groypers are embracing the label  - because that destigmatises what is meant to be slur. It is a ‘cope’.

If we (rest of us) end up ‘forgetting’ the lessons of the Holocaust, it will be because someone failed to read the room.

The Left’s pernicious persistence to weaponize normal behaviours in a sad attempt to create more victims for them to admire (but control) is what lead to this inevitable backlash. The left created Nick Fuentes, and quite frankly, he is the mirror they need. And as a mature age, white male, let me admit that it is a bit embarrassing for my generation that a kid has to be the one to make these arguments.

Let’s return to Thomas Sowell for closing arguments:

“When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear.”

From this perspective, Nick Fuentes is exactly what and who the world needs right now.

PS:

Very sincerely : If you took from this article that some Boomer agreed with Nick Fuentes, you weren’t paying attention. If you take from this that the Holocaust or Racism was/is OK, you really weren’t paying attention - and I’d ask you to attempt to re-examine the frames through which you view the world.
